About the role
- Develop detailed design packages for 12 kV and below overhead and underground electric distribution systems
- Perform field site assessments and walkdowns to collect necessary data for design development
- Prepare construction drawings, bill of materials, cost estimates, and work order packages
- Analyze system load requirements and customer service needs
- Support permitting activities, including preparation of permit drawings and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety codes, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent technical training in electrical design, engineering technology, drafting, or related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electric distribution design and planning
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent CAD software
