Support suicide prevention, resilience, and risk reduction initiatives focused on military populations, including National Guard units
Deliver high-impact training using evidence-based practices (e.g., Army Suicide Prevention Program, ACE training model, Warrior Resilience and Fitness Division materials)
Develop, evaluate, and deliver curricula and training programs for adult learners focused on suicide prevention, resilience, and mental health
Coordinate training delivery and ensure comprehensive coverage of program needs through team collaboration and sharing expertise
Collaborate with subject matter experts, program evaluators, military leaders, and community organizations to ensure curriculum relevance and impact
Track data, develop metrics, and report outcomes using Microsoft Excel and Office Suite tools
Travel across assigned states (WA, OR, ID, MT, WY, ND, SD, AK) to deliver training and support units; work variable schedules including weekends
Organize work, set priorities, meet multiple deadlines, and support program evaluation efforts
Requirements
Subject Matter Expert: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field; Master’s degree preferred but not required if compensated by extensive relevant experience
Subject Matter Expert: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in suicide prevention training, with a focus on program delivery or implementation
Subject Matter Expert: 10+ years of direct military experience, preferably with the National Guard
Curriculum Development Expert: Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional design, or a related field; Master’s preferred but not required if compensated by extensive relevant experience
Curriculum Development Expert: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in curriculum development and instructional design, preferably for adult learners
Prevention Specialist: Master’s degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
Prevention Specialist: Hold a license or be certified by a state to independently practice social work at the master’s degree level
Prevention Specialist: Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience or related field with a minimum of five years’ experience in suicide prevention, resilience, or risk reduction programs
Teaching credentials preferred
Experience in instructing and briefing skills, including executive level audiences
Expertise in delivering suicide prevention training (e.g., Army ACE model) and translating military-specific mental health challenges into training
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data tracking, reporting, and metric development
Proficiency in organizing work, setting priorities, meeting multiple deadlines, and evaluating suicide prevention and resilience training programs
Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including military personnel, civilians, and community organizations
Strong communication skills for briefing and training diverse audiences, including military leaders
Willingness and ability to travel to state units/training sites across the geographic region of assignment and work variable schedules, including weekends
