About the role
- Design and implement scalable monitoring and automation solutions on AWS.
- Continuously improve the existing DevOps platform through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build capabilities around emerging DevOps tools and technologies aligned with business needs.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams.
- Advise stakeholders and customers on modern DevOps practices, tools, and automation strategies.
- Define and enforce DevOps processes, standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and implement DevSecOps practices.
- Lead technical discussions, solution design, and delivery execution.
- Administer and manage Jira and Confluence environments ensuring high availability and performance.
- Customize workflows, permissions, dashboards, and reports.
- Configure and manage plugins, integrations, APIs, and webhooks.
- Provide user support, training, and documentation (runbooks, workflows).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into tool configurations.
Requirements
- 10–12 years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud (Public & Private) services: Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, Fargate Route53, ELB/NLB CloudWatch, IAM, VPC Auto Scaling, AWS CLI, CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, Kops)
- Expertise in monitoring & observability tools: Grafana, Prometheus, Fluentd
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines: Jenkins (master/slave configuration)
- Proficiency in DevOps tools: GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, Kibana
- Strong scripting skills: Groovy, Python, Ruby, Go
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation (required), Terraform (preferred)
- Configuration management tools: Ansible (preferred)
- Experience with auto-scaling and cloud architecture design principles
- Knowledge of configuration-as-code and documentation-as-code
- Solid understanding of: AWS networking and security, DevSecOps principles, Reverse proxy servers (NGINX)
- Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux administration
- Understanding of AWS billing and cost optimization.
