About the role

  • Define and own the enterprise architecture vision
  • Translate business strategy into target-state architectures
  • Establish architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps
  • Guide major programs, including ERP, merchandising, supply chain, digital, data, and cloud
  • Partner with CIO to shape investment decisions
  • Evaluate tradeoffs across cost, risk, scalability, and speed
  • Drive simplification and platform rationalization
  • Ensure strong integration patterns across vendors and internal systems
  • Promote security, resilience, and regulatory alignment by design
  • Mentor NGI IT architects and senior leaders
  • Review and approve solution designs for material initiatives

Requirements

  • 15 plus years in enterprise or domain architecture roles
  • Deep experience in large scale retail or grocery environments
  • Proven leadership across complex, multi-year transformations
  • Strong background in packaged platforms and SaaS ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and integration architectures
  • Ability to communicate complex topics with clarity and precision
  • Track record of influencing senior leaders without direct authority
