About the role
- Assisting and providing support to senior team members who manage a multi-track catastrophic injury caseload
- Drafting court documents, attending court hearings, working to court deadlines
- Conducting liability investigations, gathering evidence, preparing advice to clients, identifying medical experts and preparing instructions
- Reviewing medical records and other case related documents
- General day to day administration tasks including keeping the case management system up to date and in line with client service level requirements
- Providing the highest level of client care at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience assisting on a litigated caseload
- A real interest in Employers Liability, Public Liability, RTA and, catastrophic injury work
- The ability to manage and prioritise tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic to intermediate IT and keyboard skills with knowledge of Word, Excel and database programmes
- Flexibility, willingness to learn on the job and to participate in learning and development opportunities
