About the role

  • To assist fee earners and support our qualified individuals with the progression of cases through the litigation process, including assisting with disclosure, witness and expert evidence and preparing for trials/JSMs
  • To act as a trusted member of the team whilst taking responsibility of tasks, including updating files, reviewing confidential records and, liaising with third parties
  • Engage with clients and other stakeholders to gather and organise information
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the legal team
  • Action cases in line with the department's and client's service standards and protocols

Requirements

  • A real interest in EL/PL, RTA, personal injury or catastrophic injury cases, preferably with previous experience
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Basic to intermediate IT and keyboard skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility, willingness to learn on the job and to participate in learning and development opportunities
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and service levels
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data
  • Background working within a busy commercial environment
