• Certify, re-certify, and de-certify child residential/foster homes.
• Recruit and retain qualified foster and residential home providers.
• Complete and/or oversee background checks and home studies.
• Ensure timely recertification of all homes.
• Close homes when appropriate.
• Issue certification, recertification, and de-certification documents to relevant entities.
• Determine the suitability of prospective foster parents or independent contractors.

General

• A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities.
• The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, personal hygiene and more.

• Manage a high-volume requisition load, build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and deliver an exceptional experience at every step of the process.
• Support recruitment for DSP and other support roles specifically within children’s programs.
• Proactively source candidates using job boards, career sites, hiring events, referrals, and creative outreach.
• Screen and evaluate talent, checking references and aligning motivators with business needs.
• Build and maintain an active, searchable pipeline in SmartRecruiters with smart tagging and talent community tools.
• Partner closely with hiring managers, offering insights on roadblocks like compensation, skills, and sourcing tactics.
• Represent Dungarvin at career fairs, networking, and community events to build awareness and attract talent.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience and act as a true brand ambassador.
