- Develop fundraising programs and strategies
- Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward grateful patients and friends of Duke Health
- Build and enhance collaborative relationships with individuals across assigned areas
- Coordinate and ensure effective stewardship and recognition of donors’ philanthropy
- Forge strong partnerships throughout the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, analytical and organizational skills
- Five (5) years of progressive fundraising experience in a related organization with a proven track record in major gifts
- Campaign experience is desirable.
- High level of comfort and effectiveness working with high-net-worth individuals and business executives
- Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to navigate a complex academic medical environment
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency and adaptability
- Flexible work environment
- On-site (in office 5 days a week)
- Hybrid (in office a minimum of 2 days a week or defined by manager)
- Remote (work off-site 5 days a week)
- Flexible start and end time work arrangements
