About the role

  • Own the integration strategy for the People organization and define the long-term roadmap supporting DoorDash’s scale and global growth.
  • Design and own integration architecture across Workday, Greenhouse, payroll, benefits, and other enterprise systems to ensure resilience and scalability.
  • Build scalable processes, governance standards, documentation, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2).
  • Partner with Information Security to protect people data and ensure audit readiness.
  • Manage vendor and middleware partners, drive accountability, maximize ROI, and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Define and track KPIs (uptime, error resolution time, automation ROI) and present results to leadership with executive-ready reporting.
  • Utilize automation and process optimization to accelerate delivery and build scalability into infrastructure operations.
  • Serve as connective tissue between HR, IT, Finance, and business leaders to ensure secure and efficient flow of people data.
  • Lead inclusion efforts within team and across functions and report to the head of People Technology.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with at least 5 years managing HR systems teams.
  • Deep expertise in Workday, with strong knowledge of HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, and Recruitment.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, APIs, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, Payroll connectors, and middleware tools.
  • Experience with iPaaS/middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
  • Experience managing and scaling remote workforces.
  • Ability to make a compelling business case with clear ROI and influence executive stakeholders with data-driven storytelling.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and iterative approaches to maturing IT services while resource constrained.
  • Experience scaling an IT/HR Systems function through process, tooling, hiring, and sourcing strategies.
  • Strong experience in Scrum/Agile methodology, building velocity and operational metrics through Jira stories and epics.
  • Understanding of InfoSec principles, data governance, and audit readiness; ability to partner with security and compliance teams.
  • Proven change leader, influencing adoption of new technologies and ways of working across functions.
