About the role

  • Record and reconcile daily revenue from Gravity POS and Sunstar/Datacap arcade systems
  • Reconcile credit card deposits, receivables, and chargebacks
  • Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue balances
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition according to accounting standards
  • Prepare and file multi-state sales & use tax returns
  • Maintain exemption certificates and ensure proper tax treatment across locations
  • Respond to notices and support audits related to sales & use tax
  • Maintain and reconcile inventory records with Operations
  • Calculate and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
  • Strengthen inventory controls and reporting accuracy
  • Record payroll entries for wages, bonuses, and PTO accruals
  • Reconcile payroll liabilities and taxes
  • Manage payroll-related balance sheet accounts
  • Own key components of the month-end close, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with internal financial reporting packages
  • Identify and implement improvements to shorten close timelines
  • Support external audits, prepare audit schedules, and maintain internal controls and documentation
  • Assist in developing scalable accounting policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years progressive accounting experience, especially in revenue, inventory, and sales tax accounting
  • Strong skills in revenue accounting, sales & use tax, inventory & cost accounting, payroll accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reconciliations)
  • Experience with POS platforms such as Gravity, Sunstar, Datacap is a plus
  • Strong English communication skills (clear and comprehensible)
  • Essential soft skills: Knowledge, Courage, Transparency
