About the role
- Secure and validate automated driving functions using state-of-the-art virtual validation methods
- Develop, implement, and operate a Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) toolchain for simulating and assessing complex self-driving systems
- Work with the dSPACE toolchain (ModelDesk, VEOS, Aurelion) and Matlab/Simulink
- Integrate sensor and vehicle dynamics models into virtual environments (dSPACE Aurelion/Unreal Engine) to create realistic testing conditions
- Design and implement processes for validating SOTIF scenarios, including generation and evaluation of simulation-based test results
- Create and enhance virtual maps from real-world data using ASAM standards (OpenDRIVE, OpenSCENARIO)
- Optimize scenarios and simulations to identify edge cases and functional challenges, using tools like STEVE
- Gain insights into development of standards and methods for simulation-based validation and certification of autonomous driving functions
