Deliver sales presentations to promote Dexcom products and services to existing and potential customers and healthcare professionals (endocrinologists, nurse educators, pediatricians, primary care physicians and nurses)
Educate physicians and nurses on the benefits and details of using Dexcom continuous glucose monitoring products
Build and maintain relationships with physicians
Represent Dexcom at local, regional, and national diabetes congresses
Actively position the company as a market leader in continuous glucose monitoring
Implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve individual and company goals
Assume responsibility for the regional budget and control expenses
Create reports according to guidelines and use sales materials to promote sales
Work with sales colleagues and internal employees to achieve or exceed company goals
Frequent travel required (approximately 75%)
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree
Minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience
Experience in diabetes and in the medical devices industry (a plus)
Experience in both primary care and hospitals
Knowledge of diabetes products and therapies
Demonstrated success in previous sales roles (very good performance a plus)
Ability to recognize customer needs and advance new approaches to diabetes treatment
Ability to implement sales strategies in a complex and multifaceted environment
Work cross-functionally with Medical, Market Access, and Marketing teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Team-oriented and able to implement consultative sales strategies
Nice to have understanding/speaking level of English
Valid Category B driver's license
