About the role
- Managing the Modelling team within the National Ratemaking and Business Solutions Team for all commercial products nationally.
- Collaborating closely with other National Ratemaking teams which includes responsibilities related to pricing, rate level, and business solutions for Ontario, Atlantic and Western regions.
- Ensuring the development, implementation, and monitoring of an action plan for its administrative unit, in line with the strategic orientations of the company.
- Implementing management and communication practices that promote change management, skills development, mobilization, talent retention and diversity.
- Establishing and implementing modelling strategies for commercial lines property & liability and for commercial automobile products nationally.
- Providing actuarial advice and expertise to the analysts of the team in the realization of business projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Experience in a management role
- Experience in coaching and in a team lead role
- Fellow of the CAS or FCIA
- Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Knowledge in modeling and analytics
