About the role
- Serve and maintain business relationships with members and clients for all claims
- Handle medium-complexity property insurance claims and low-complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims
- Investigate and approve claims; conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value
- Produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts
- Analyze medical, financial and job information and determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria
- Settle claims in accordance with the organization’s standards, policies and contract terms
- Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties
- Negotiate with members, clients, third parties and practitioners to reach settlements and agreements
- Assist members, clients and practitioners and apply interpersonal skills
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of French is required
- Action oriented, Customer Focus, Decision quality, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning (competencies)
