About the role
- Handle medium-complexity property insurance claims and low-complexity accident benefit and bodily injury claims
- Investigate and approve claims; conduct investigations and inspections to assess damage, estimate costs and market value
- Produce and review reports and other documents to determine settlement amounts
- Analyze medical, financial and job information and determine eligibility for benefits based on statutory criteria
- Settle claims in accordance with organizational standards, policies and contract terms
- Meet deadlines to ensure client satisfaction and avoid penalties
- Negotiate with members, clients, third parties and practitioners to ensure smooth claims processing
- Assist members, clients and practitioners and maintain business relationships
Requirements
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience
- Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Knowledge of French is required
