Coach and provide support to Branch Managers within an assigned region and direct operations of one credit union branch
Act as a liaison and expert for assigned specialist area (Operations, Training, Lending and Credit Cards, or Incentives)
Perform evaluations of assigned Branch Managers and review branch production and staff needs
Communicate credit union goals and strategies and maintain/supervise all branch activities and operational integrity
Act as an ambassador, prospecting and developing community involvement and awareness in geographic area
Create and maintain a culture of respect, professionalism, knowledge, accountability, and member experience
Maintain proper staffing levels including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring; partner with Assistant Branch Manager to mentor and discipline staff
Meet regularly with VP, Branches to discuss activities and performance and develop action plans to increase production
Ensure team competencies and complete working knowledge of all Deseret First products and services
Oversee coaching opportunities in operations, sales behaviors, member relations, and career development
Perform member transactions (teller functions, new accounts, loans, IRAs, business accounts) when needed and provide solutions to staff and member issues
Emulate Deseret First mission/guiding principles and help achieve strategic goals
Maintain understanding of credit union production goals and ability to analyze, coach, and improve branch production and efficiency
Participate in offsite marketing events to promote DFCU
Spend approximately 25% of time visiting other branches in region and attend regional meetings
Requirements
Eight years of retail branch experience preferred
Relevant management experience required
College degree required, experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Leadership aptitude and desire to continually develop leadership skills
Strong ability to champion, promote, and deliver
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Significant level of trust and diplomacy, plus courtesy and tact
Sensitivity to varying degrees of competency within employee skillsets and background
Strong work ethic and ownership of retail branch location (franchisee mentality)
Ability to create a fun, enjoyable, and professional work environment
