About the role
- report to the Accounting Manager
- vital business partner within the General Accounting team
- responsible for all Indirect Tax, Fixed Assets and Prepaids for Dermalogica
- maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual tax return filings for sales & use tax, gross receipts and other miscellaneous state and local taxes
- maintain Vertex and Avalara sales tax platform, including taxability and nexus configuration
- respond to tax notices and inquiries from state and local taxing authorities
- maintain licenses and registrations to ensure compliance with state and local regulations
- prepare annual property tax returns
- manage and maintain Fixed Assets subledger and record monthly journal entries for Depreciation
- support internal and external audits
- assist with monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for sales & use, other taxes, fixed assets and prepaid
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
- Relevant Indirect Tax experience (incl. audit or consulting) highly desired
- Experience with working in a fast-close environment
- Experience and comfort working with a range of different systems / accounting tools
- Proficient in MS Excel
