Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and integration specialists focused on API development, data extraction, and client-facing integrations
Own the roadmap and execution for our API portal
Design and implement robust data extraction frameworks and APIs (RESTful, webhooks, batch)
Establish and enforce API governance standards
Partner with product, client success, and data architecture teams
Monitor usage patterns and adoption metrics

Requirements

7+ years of experience in data engineering, API development, or integration architecture
2+ years managing technical teams
Proven experience building and scaling API programs in SaaS or financial services environments
Strong expertise in RESTful API design, authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
API management platforms (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management)
Proficiency in building data extraction pipelines using SQL, Python, and modern ETL frameworks
Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
