About the role
- Co-manage the shared People inbox, triaging and responding to queries with speed, accuracy, and empathy
- Support general HR administration, including preparing contracts, offer letters, employment changes, and reference requests
- Maintain accurate employee records across our HRIS systems (Workday), and other people team trackers, ensuring all new starter, mover, and leaver information is up to date
- Own the onboarding and induction experience, including running induction sessions, setting up system access, preparing documentation, and ensuring new starters have a smooth and welcoming introduction to the organisation.
- Assist with offboarding tasks, including issuing exit surveys and keeping People Partners informed of key themes
- Support monthly payroll administration by collecting and maintaining accurate data (changes, allowances, leave updates, etc.)
- Help manage benefits administration, ensuring enrolments, changes, and new hire updates are processed correctly
- Update and maintain People data across HRIS and other internal systems
- Support our People Analyst in generating routine People reports and dashboards, helping us improve data accuracy and insights
- Work with the People Operations Manager to identify opportunities to simplify and improve People processes
- Support People team projects such as documentation updates, policy reviews, onboarding improvements, and internal training coordination
- Help coordinate People-led events, workshops, and initiatives, gradually taking more ownership as you develop
Requirements
- Experience in HR or People administration (or a strong interest in starting a career in People Ops)
- Comfortable working with systems and accuracy when updating data
- A process-minded and improvement-oriented approach to work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a helpful, people-focused tone
- High attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to prioritise
- A collaborative mindset and desire to work as part of a supportive team
- Curious to learn about generalist HR, employment law basics, and best-practice People Ops as you grow
