About the role
- Design and deploy advanced LLM-powered applications that support Deel's Payroll product lines and operations
- Lead architecture decisions, cost optimization, and observability efforts for mission-critical AI workflows
- Collaborate with ML researchers, product managers, and application engineers
- Create massive impact by delivering ground-breaking work in a high-scale product that impacts millions of workers
- Drive reliability, cost-efficiency, and scalability of AI/LLM systems
Requirements
- 12+ years of engineering experience with strong focus on system design
- At least 1.5 years building production-grade LLM applications
- Python expertise for AI/ML development
- Node.js familiarity for integration with application teams
- Deep experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, etc.)
- Prompt engineering and LLM API integration
- Observability tooling and system reliability patterns for AI systems
- 2+ years hands-on experience implementing research and algorithms in Python in information retrieval, text processing, NLP, LLMs, and machine learning
- English fluency (speak, read, and write) as required in application form
- Work authorization in country of residence (applicants must state authorization/sponsorship status)
