Spearhead all financial activities within Romania including accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting with a focus on period-end closing improvements
Prepare and manage ledger entries, payroll, tax benefits, and contributions reports for regulatory bodies (social security, insurance, pension companies and others)
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts including intercompany banking, customers, vendors, and accruals ensuring accuracy and compliance
Monitor day-to-day transactions, maintain up-to-date books, and prepare comprehensive financial and administrative reports as required
Ensure timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Social Security & others)
Ensure accuracy in payroll calculations made by local Payroll Manager; oversee payroll software selection and integration and resolve payroll reporting issues
Requirements
ACCA/CPA or local equivalent is mandatory
Minimum of 5+ years as an accountant in high-tech companies
Proficiency in managing Payroll ERP systems preferred; experience in NetSuite advantageous
Significant experience working in a global environment, understanding diverse financial regulations and practices
Strong Excel and office skills essential for data analysis and reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and local languages
Self-motivated, ability to work autonomously, detail-oriented and strong problem-solving mindset
