About the role

  • Manage and perform monthly financial close processes with a heavy emphasis on revenue recognition and ASC 606 to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules with a primary focus on revenue, deferred revenue, AR-related entries, and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare and analyze revenue reporting, including trends, variances, and SaaS metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, churn, deferred revenue)
  • Provide financial analysis and variance support to management, offering actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare for audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Thrive in ambiguous situations, making informed decisions with limited information, adapting to changing priorities, and driving progress despite uncertainty.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in revenue accounting; SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Experience supporting month end close/year-end close processes.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a passion for accuracy and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar) is a plus.
  • CPA certification is a plus, with preference given to candidates who hold or are actively pursuing this credential.
