About the role
- Lead the development of AI-powered features and high-visibility AI product initiatives in Datadog Notebooks
- Work closely with product management to envision compelling workflows
- Coordinate with Datadog’s growing set of AI platform teams to leverage internal tools and build AI agents that can emulate deep technical expertise
- Architect, implement and oversee systems from inception through deployment and delivery to customers
- Navigate tradeoffs between time-to-market and feature quality while iterating towards excellence
- Lead the development, maintenance and growth of key services, APIs and user experiences
- Provide technical oversight and leadership across organizational boundaries and mentor and grow other engineers on the team and beyond
Requirements
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
- You have 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- You have several years of experience leading cross-team initiatives in product-oriented development
- You have strong customer empathy and a drive to make an impact
- You have experience building agentic workflows for customer-facing products, or are strongly interested in doing so
