About the role
- Own the strategy and roadmap for Access Solutions, defining how Beckman delivers configurable, end-to-end automation systems for high-throughput and GMP environments
- Lead and develop the Access Solutions team, including product managers, solution architects, and integration specialists
- Drive revenue and margin performance for large custom automation programs, including solution segmentation, pricing models, and commercial packages
- Lead cross-functional solution development, partnering with Systems Integration, Engineering, Applications, PMO, Quality/Reg, and Sales to scope and architect integrated customer workflows
- Establish integration and connectivity standards (APIs, device drivers, data models, cybersecurity requirements) to ensure interoperability and repeatable delivery
- Oversee complex deal shaping, including feasibility, cost modeling, risk assessments, and customer value justification for multimillion-dollar enterprise automation engagements
- Build scalable delivery and solution frameworks using modular templates, reusable engineering elements, and structured playbooks to reduce delivery complexity and cycle time
- Act as executive sponsor for high-impact customer programs, ensuring delivery quality, outcomes, and expansion opportunities
Requirements
- 12–15+ years in product management or adjacent roles within life sciences, lab automation, scientific software, or industrial automation
- 7+ years leading PM teams
- Track record owning integrated hardware + software portfolios and delivering platform and ecosystem strategies
- Demonstrated success in regulated environments and enterprise deployments (GxP/Part 11, data integrity, cybersecurity)
- Strong commercial acumen: pricing, portfolio P&L management, and enterprise solution selling
- Technical fluency in lab automation, robotics, scheduling/orchestration, data platforms, cloud/SaaS, and API-first architectures
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Ability to travel – 30% globally per business needs.
