About the role
- Responsible for the strategic and tactical management of select academic and biopharma accounts
- Focus on building and maintaining existing relationships and generating new business opportunities
- Proactively make outbound calls, schedule customer visits, and nurture leads from marketing through to opportunities
- Develop and execute account plans that build effective alliances and maximize share of wallet across Abcam’s portfolio
- Provide regular sales forecasts to management regarding activities aligned with revenue goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life science or related discipline
- Field sales account management experience in life sciences
- Ability to speak to antibody-based applications, proteomics, reagents and similar protein based solutions
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with scientific end-users and decision-makers
- Experience in account management or technical support within life sciences
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to travel as required (50%-75%) and a valid driver's license
