About the role
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of communications professionals
- Lead the development of proactive, targeted media strategies and compelling narratives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists and outlets
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders across DTNA and the global Daimler Truck organization
- Lead the planning and execution of complex in-person and virtual media events
- Serve as a spokesperson for DTNA when appropriate
- Oversee timely, accurate responses to media inquiries
- Drive integrated communication strategies
- Manage external agencies and partners
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate communication effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, Political Science, or related field required
- 8 years of relevant experience required
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing team members
- Proven experience working with journalists and managing media inquiries
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective communication strategies
- Strong capability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- High attention to detail and sound judgment
