About the role

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including MSAs, SaaS contracts, channel/reseller agreements, sponsorships, vendor agreements and more.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives by developing and refining legal templates, playbooks, and scalable processes.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on complex commercial matters, with a focus on intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner closely with teams across the business—including Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Product, and Engineering—to resolve contract issues in alignment with Cyera’s standards, while delivering pragmatic, business-oriented solutions.
  • Effectively translate legal concepts into clear, concise, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
  • Take on a variety of legal projects as needed to support Cyera’s fast-paced growth and evolving business priorities.
  • Advise on privacy and data protection frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, LGPD and other related global regulations, with a strong emphasis on UK and EU data protection law.
  • Stay current on emerging areas such as AI regulation and compliance, incorporating relevant terms into contracting strategy.
  • Contribute to improvements in contract management systems, workflows, and legal operations.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with a current practicing certificate.
  • Proven track-record of delivering commercial advice and contracts as well as working on technology-focused transactions.
  • Experience of working in-house in the UK at a fast-paced tech company.
  • Demonstrable experience advising on AI regulation and compliance, including incorporating relevant terms into contracting strategy.
  • Experience and familiarity with working on cross-border matters across Europe, connecting with local counsel as appropriate and ensuring that advice on pan-European matters is handled in as joined up and consistent manner as is possible.
  • Strong proficiency or demonstrable experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems - with experience using Ironclad or a similar platform being highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to independently draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements without a playbook.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • A proactive team player who thrives on collaboration, creative problem-solving, and a business-minded approach to legal issues.
  • Comfortable working at speed and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
