About the role
- Support accurate accounting, analyze financial data, prepare reporting and provide insights to support decision making
- Work closely with US Finance and Accounting Manager and International Finance and Accounting Teams (US and EU)
- Coordinate intercompany financial transactions
- Evolve project/product costing and profitability accounting, metrics and reporting
- Develop and enhance the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Oversee reconciliation of bank, credit card, petty cash, and other balance sheet accounts monthly and prepare and post journal entries
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal controls for accurate and timely recording of transactions
- Apply revenue recognition policies for subscription-based and project-based contracts
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Support improvements to financial planning systems and tools or implement new tools
- Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to understand process impacts on revenue
- Support external annual audits and tax filings
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or CMA a plus but not required)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency within Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Accounting software
- Working knowledge of GAAP or IFRS principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and management about the finances of the business
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills
- Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
- Able to work in Middleton, WI office 3-4 days per week
