About the role
- Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related IFRS or GAAP and GAAS issues
- Developing and demonstrating an understanding of the RSM audit approach, methodology and tools
- Performing audit procedures and tests in accordance with the RSM audit methodology based on overall audit plan, ensuring proper documentation of work performed
- Identifying areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues and discussing with engagement teams to solve issues
- Researching technical accounting issues and developing industry expertise
- Preparing audit reports and management letters
- Exercising professional skepticism, judgment and adhering to the code of ethics while on engagements
- Ensuring documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm
- Working collaboratively as part of the team and communicating effectively with RSM audit professionals and US-based engagement teams
- Providing supervision and development training for associates and taking ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables
- Providing timely, high quality client service, coordinating development and execution of audit work plans and client deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelors in Commerce or MBA
- Qualified Chartered Accountant / ACCA / CPA
- 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit related field
- Strong technical skills in accounting including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication (English)
- Experience in Industrial Goods industry preferred
- Strong Data Analytical skills including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word and PowerPoint
