About the role
- Monthly Bookkeeping & Journal Entries
- Import and reconcile credit card transactions
- Manage and reconcile expense reports
- Post monthly revenue entries, accruals, and closing JEs
- Post semi-monthly payroll entries
- Perform fixed asset & prepaid amortization entries
- Accounts Payable & Contractor Payments:
- Prepare vendor bills and payments
- Review and prepare contractor invoices
- Maintain AP ledgers
- Reconciliations:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations
- Handle inter-company reconciliations across international entities
- Sales Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and file U.S. state sales tax reports
- Reporting:
- Support monthly close process and preparation of financial statements
- Assist in variance analysis and reporting for internal stakeholders
- Maintain Finance related files and back ups
- Adhoc:
- Process improvements
- Maintain system integrations and process
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a tech startup or SaaS environment
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with accrual-based accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Experience with intercompany accounting across U.S. and international entities
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment
- CPA preferred but not required
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and self-management skills
- Experience with Remote.com, Saasgrid, or Melio a plus
