About the role

  • Oversee all warehouse operations.
  • Manage warehouse associates and/or drivers within our branch.
  • Cultivate a winning culture by leading and working alongside the warehouse team through proper training and coaching.
  • Interview and hire candidates for various warehouse positions.
  • Oversee the initial and ongoing training of all warehouse associates.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage personnel issues.
  • Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment, identifying and arranging repairs.
  • Manage property control, including inventory levels of warehouse materials.
  • Conduct quarterly audits and participate in daily safety expectations.
  • Oversee transportation logistics, including delivery scheduling.
  • Prepare reports on operations, inventory, associate metrics, and financial matters.

Requirements

  • Understanding and proven experience of warehouse management including leading a team, material handling, shipping/receiving, and logistics.
  • Skill in planning and organizing in anticipation of future events and contingencies.
  • Ability to train and develop associates while driving a positive culture.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting information to associates, management, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and provide innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency working within ERPs and Microsoft Office Suite.
