Conduct a comprehensive assessment of Envirocare’s current operations, financial status, and existing funding sources
Design innovative business models that promote long-term sustainability, incorporating environmental, social, and financial aspects
Identify and propose diversified income streams, such as social enterprises or fee-for-service initiatives
Produce a detailed assessment report identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for financial sustainability, with strategic recommendations
Develop business models that align with Envirocare’s mission and objectives to enhance operational resilience and reduce reliance on donor funding
Create an implementation plan for diversified income sources, detailing expected revenue generation and timelines for each initiative
Train and mentor local staff in business development and proposal writing as required
Collaborate with Cuso International, the SHARE project, and partner Envirocare to support inclusive, innovative, and environmentally sustainable development initiatives
Requirements
Eligibility: Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada only
Language Requirements: English Level 5 - Fluent
Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s degree preferred) in Business Administration, International Development, Social Entrepreneurship, or related field
At least 4 years of experience in organizational development, business development, or related fields
Proven track record in fundraising and resource mobilization for NGOs or social enterprises
Strong skills in proposal writing and securing funding from various sources (grants, contracts, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with project management software
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor staff in business development and proposal writing skills
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with ability to conceptualize and implement effective business strategies
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
Selection requirements if shortlisted: confirm passport or PR details, provide 2 professional references and 1 personal reference, complete a language assessment, obtain a satisfactory Police Check, complete a medical exam and be medically cleared, be double vaccinated (WHO-approved vaccines)
