About the role
- Manage the development and implementation process of the company’s products and services
- Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focus on delivering new or upgrading existing products
- Monitor the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending
- Organize cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints
- Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals
- Define, launch, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in core projects
- Lead the planning and execution of high-impact programs, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
- Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways
- Create a method of change management including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.
- Lead complex program management tasks and development of standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting
- Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure that programs are compliant with organizational policies
- Drive the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions in program management
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement
- Exercise delegated authority for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing many routine and complex projects/programs
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 10-12 Years work experience in the field of program management and contract negotiation and administration within the Aerospace/Military environment
- Good knowledge of ITAR is a benefit
- Use of Microsoft products and other tools, including but not limited to Microsoft Business suite of products, Adobe, Kiteworks and SAP
- Expertise in managing complex programs, including risk management, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and engagement
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance optimization
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively managing shifting priorities and demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges.
