About the role
- Work with Agile Product Managers and stakeholders to define stories and prioritize the team backlog in support of the product roadmap
- Support the organization’s mission, operations, structure, and goals and streamline execution of program priorities
- Maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the features and components of the team and maximize product value
- Collaborate with business management on multiple products and represent the voice of the customer
- Apply a holistic systems approach focusing on interrelations and system behavior over time
- Utilize Six Sigma tools and lean methodologies including value stream mapping to mitigate risks and ensure functional and performance requirements
- Lead IT projects applying SAFe principals including Program Increment Planning and epic/feature management
- Practice Lean-Agile leadership; participate in program backlog refinement and planning events
- Apply behavior-driven development (BDD) to guide development and decrease rework
- Assess decision rules aligning to financial objectives using Lean Portfolio Management and Economic Framework
- Serve as primary source for story detail and priorities in iteration planning and establish story acceptance criteria
- Understand scope of enabler work and collaborate with system and solution architects/engineering on sequencing of technology enablers
- Develop strong relationships using Business Relationship Management practices
- Establish and maintain balance of scope, schedule and resources for projects
- Identify, refine, prioritize and sequence backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure economic success of the solution
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related field and 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business or Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or related position.
- Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management or related field and 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business or Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or related position.
- Lean-Agile system thinking and voice of the customer
- Six Sigma tools and lean methodologies including value stream mapping

- Technical solution design
