About the role

  • <p>Chordline Health is seeking a highly experienced and versatile <strong>Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)</strong> with 4–5 years of focused automation testing experience and 8+ years overall in Automation, ETL, and Manual QA.</p><p></p><p>This role combines <strong>deep US Healthcare domain expertise</strong> with strong technical skills across automation frameworks, ETL validation, and manual QA. You’ll work on complex client-server and web-based applications, validate data pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional product quality.</p><p></p><h3><strong>What You'll Do:</strong></h3><ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and other modern tools.</li> <li>Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across frontend, backend, APIs, and data pipelines.</li> <li>Validate ETL workflows and perform backend database testing using SQL and PL/SQL.</li> <li>Conduct RESTful API testing using Postman and automation tools like RestAssured.</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall projects.</li> <li>Analyze requirements, user stories, and defects; create and manage test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.</li> <li>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub Actions.</li> <li>Maintain documentation and test artifacts using Jira, Confluence, and test management tools.</li> </ul><p></p><h3><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></h3><p><strong>Experience &amp; Domain Knowledge</strong></p><ul> <li>4–5 years in automation testing, 8+ years total in QA (automation, ETL, manual).</li> <li>US Healthcare: HIPAA compliance, HL7/FHIR standards, claims adjudication, payer/provider systems.</li> </ul><p><strong>Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul> <li> <strong>Languages</strong>: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Bash, Groovy</li> <li> <strong>Testing Frameworks &amp; Tools</strong>: Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Nightwatch.js, Cucumber, Appium, BrowserStack, Pytest, TestNG, JUnit, Maven, BDD (Cucumber), POM (Page Object Model)</li> <li> <strong>DevOps &amp; Automation</strong>: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins (including Pipelines), GitHub Actions, LaunchDarkly (Feature Flagging)</li> </ul><ul><li> <strong>Databases &amp; ETL</strong>: MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle (PL/SQL), SQL Server, Data warehouse concepts, normalization, SQL scripting</li></ul><ul><li> <strong>Project &amp; Test Management</strong>: Jira &amp; Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Xray, TestRail, Zephyr, HP ALM, Confluence</li></ul><ul><li> <strong>Version Control</strong>: GitHub, Teamcity</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Methodological Strengths</strong></p><ul> <li> Strong knowledge of QA principles, <strong>SDLC</strong>, <strong>STLC</strong>, <strong>Agile</strong>, <strong>Scrum</strong>, <strong>Kanban</strong>, and defect lifecycle. </li> <li> Proven experience building and scaling automation frameworks using <strong>Data-Driven</strong> and <strong>Behavior-Driven</strong> models. </li> <li> Expertise in <strong>cross-browser</strong> and <strong>cross-platform</strong> testing environments.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul> <li> ISTQB or equivalent certification. </li> <li> Experience with performance testing tools (<strong>JMeter</strong>, <strong>Gatling</strong>). </li> <li> Exposure to cloud platforms (<strong>AWS</strong>, <strong>Azure</strong>, <strong>GCP</strong>)..</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Soft Skills</strong></p><ul> <li> Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. </li> <li> Excellent communication and collaboration skills. </li> <li> Detail-oriented and quality-focused.</li> </ul>
