About the role
- Oversees manufacturing, purchasing, inventory control and manufacturing engineering/planning
- Recommends manufacturing policies and programs
- Coordinates, reviews and approves all proposal activities
- Coordinates, reviews and approves all material and labor estimates for new and recurring programs
- Works with other departments to review all design documents
- Monitors, reviews and evaluates the performance to budgets
- Implements corrective action to achieve satisfactory performance to budgets
- Develops EAC’s / ETC’s for necessary programs
- Serves as a focal point for activities between departments
- Assists in the resolution of unresolved Engineering and vendor issues
- Assists in the development of yearly capital equipment planning
- Participates and presents to Senior Management status of assigned programs during monthly reviews
- Monitors all planned deliveries for timeliness and assure customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Four-year college degree or equivalent in technical field (preferably industrial engineering) and/or business administration
- Minimum of twelve years experience in management in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with personal computer software
- Capable of performing responsibilities under high levels of stress
- Ability to set priorities and handle multiple assignments under minimal supervision.
