Member of a 5-person team across 3 shifts providing remote technical assistance to ICE’s TAK infrastructure and day-to-day maintenance of the TAK ecosystem.
Ensure the customer has persistent technical assistance 24/7 and provide SME support for managing the Agency’s TAK Servers remotely.
Design, deploy, and maintain the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency’s cloud TAK Server environments.
Assist with planning and execution of network and server environment upgrades and expansions.
Collaborate with the Agency’s engineering and technical staff to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and firmware across an array of network solutions.
Responsible for installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, software, and related capabilities.
Configure and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux), applications (commercial and government), networks (IPs, subnets, etc.), and network hardware.
Configure and manage distributed authentication services.
Ensure system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to government policies.
Assist the government in creating and maintaining network security policies, standards, and monitoring capabilities.
Implement and maintain backup operations, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Manage cloud-based services such as DNS, digital certificates, storage solutions including SAN and NAS, IP based video, phone services and camera services, and network connected end user workstations.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization, as required.
Support and manage other TAK related services as needed.
Provide Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), Tactical Data Link (TDL), and Tactical Radio integration and federating TAK networks with other federal agencies.
Occasional travel to support business needs, client engagements, training, or field operations.
Requirements
Location: This position is remote. However, occasional travel will be required to support business needs, including client engagements, team collaboration, training sessions, or field operations. Travel frequency will vary based on project demands and organizational priorities
Minimum of 4 years of experience managing Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) Server capabilities within enterprise network environments.
At least 4 years of hands-on experience administering Linux servers in hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures
Relevant certifications required, including CompTIA Security+ (Sec+), Microsoft Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Administrator, AWS Cloud Administrator or equivalent cloud platform certification.
Proven expertise in hardware administration, including installation, implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Must have an active U.S. government Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field (beneficial)
Demonstrated technical curiosity, a security-first mindset, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving (beneficial)
Prior experience migrating from on-prem to cloud environments (beneficial)
