Salary 💰 $125,000 - $180,000 per year
About the role You will own the quality and release lifecycle for infrastructure changes across data centers and public cloud environments. Your mandate: design a predictable release train, implement quality gates and automated validation, coordinate stakeholders (I&O, SRE/NOC, Security, Networking, Platform), and deliver safe, auditable changes with crisp communication and measurable outcomes. Define the enterprise I&O release calendar, maintenance/blackout windows, and cutover playbooks. Support our pragmatic CAB/ECAB with risk‑based approvals and stop‑the‑line authority. Classify and streamline change types (standard/normal/emergency) with clear SLAs and readiness criteria. Establish quality gates: peer review, linting, security/policy checks, dependency/impact analysis, and rehearsed rollbacks. Drive and build pre‑ and post‑change automated validation (synthetics, health probes, config drift checks, capacity and error budgets). Standardize canary/blue‑green/ringed rollouts for infrastructure components and configurations. Integrate infrastructure changes into pipelines (build, test, promote, release) with approvals, audit trails, and artifact versioning. Promote policy‑as‑code, secrets hygiene, and tamper‑evident change packages; champion “Everything as Code.” Orchestrate rehearsals in lower environments; verify go/no‑go criteria, back-out plans, and owner sign‑offs. Ensure observability (dashboards, logs, traces, synthetics) is in place before and after releases; tie checks to SLOs/SLIs. Map release controls to frameworks (e.g., SOC 2/ISO 27001); automate evidence collection (approvals, test results, diffs, timestamps). Maintain change records, CMDB/CIs linkage, and separation of duties. Publish release notes, stakeholder briefings, and customer communications (internal/external status pages). Facilitate blameless post‑release reviews; drive preventative engineering and standards. Requirements 8+ years in enterprise Infrastructure & Operations, with 3–5+ years leading QA and Release for infra/platform changes. Demonstrated success institutionalizing: A repeatable release train with measurable reliability. Automated validation and policy‑as‑code in CI/CD. Risk‑based CAB/ECAB and evidence‑driven compliance. Strong command of ITIL v4 change principles adapted for modern, code‑driven infrastructure. Hands‑on literacy with source control, pipeline tooling, configuration/infrastructure testing, observability, and incident management. Exceptional stakeholder management and concise, executive‑ready communication. A data‑driven mindset; comfortable defining and improving operational KPIs. Remote-friendly and flexible work culture Market leader in compensation and equity awards Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge Paid parental and adoption leaves Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role Employee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connections Vibrant office culture with world class amenities Great Place to Work Certified™ across the globe Copy Applicant Tracking System Keywords Tip: use these terms in your resume and cover letter to boost ATS matches.
