Develop and maintain trusting relationships with the assigned suppliers as well as our internal stakeholders
Assess supplier capability via site visits and process audits for compliance to regulations, agreements, standards, and documented processes.
Collaboratively qualify processes with Suppliers, Design Engineers, Supplier Quality Team and Incoming Inspection Team
Actively participate in and lead new product development teams as it relates to supplier quality to support product and process design and development activities via leading the supplier risk management process
Support the review/approve product and process change control documentation and specifications as it relates to assigned suppliers
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
15+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a fast paced and high growth environment (industrial and/or automotive a plus)
2+ years of experience in one of these areas: machining, welding, casting, coating (automotive or aerospace quality systems a plus)
Knowledge and experience with implementing APQP, PPAP and Root Cause Analysis
Six Sigma, Lean, and ASQ Certification and trainings are preferred
The position will require up to 30% travel
