About the role
- Detect, contain, and remediate incidents across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms
- Perform basic malware analysis and static/dynamic analysis
- Exercise incident handling processes and investigate targeted threats
- Develop and improve processes for incident detection and execution of countermeasures
- Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management
- Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and public speaking events
- Work in CrowdStrike virtual security operations center detecting and responding to incidents in real-time for customers
- Lead teams and interact with customers; mentor and learn from peers
Requirements
- Experience conducting or managing incident response (Incident Handling)
- Experience with computer forensic analysis using forensic tools
- Systems administration knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux internals
- Network forensic analysis and network log analysis
- Ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis
- Experience creating tactical and strategic incident remediation plans
- Network operations and secure network architecture background
- Programming/scripting experience (C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, .NET)
- Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision
- Strong project management skills
- Desire to grow and expand both technical and soft skills
- Contributing thought leader within the incident response industry
- Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude
- Must be willing to work 4x10 schedule, including a day on the weekend
- Must be willing to work on site (hybrid schedule)
- Only open to US citizens and Green Card holders
- BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or related field (applicants without a degree but with relevant work experience and/or training will be considered)
- May be required to periodically undergo and pass alcohol and/or drug test(s) during employment
