About the role
- Lead day-to-day account management for key brand consulting clients
- Focus on the strategic development, management, and execution of Olympic partnerships
- Serve as the primary client interface and oversee junior team members
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external vendors, agencies, and properties across the Olympic ecosystem
- Identify and advance new ideas and opportunities for client consideration
- Develop and deliver overarching strategic vision based on brand objectives for the Olympics
- Lead coordination of key stakeholder engagement and involvement including clients, other agencies and Olympic rightsholders
- Negotiate with Olympic rightsholders including OCOGs, NGBs, NOCs, talent and beyond
- Lead overall activation and hospitality planning
- Demonstrate creative and innovative thought leadership
- Creation of key project documents such as budgets and briefings
- Oversee the team managing day-to-day partnerships
- Oversee the development of integrated marketing and sponsorship activation plans
- Work with internal Data & Analytics Team to oversee management of measurement evaluation
- Collaborate with other team functions to ensure goals are met
- Act as a resource for teams in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Create presentations for key meetings
- Develop and deliver compelling written and verbal communications
- Build, maintain, and drive year over year business and account growth
Requirements
- At least 10-12+ years’ experience including negotiating and managing Olympic partnerships
- Ability to travel and be on-site at events
- Experience managing others including conducting performance reviews
- Strong fiscal approach with excellent budget management and forecasting skills
- Must have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with key stakeholders
- Proven strategic development and stakeholder management/influencing skills
- Strong market and industry knowledge and presence
- Proven thought leader
- Ability to balance and progress multiple projects and project components at one time, often within tight timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or similar discipline, preferred.
