About the role
- Coordinate translation project activities among appropriate external resources (translators, editors, proofreaders, DTP designers, localization engineers)
- Analysis of projects using translation memory software
- Support cost estimate analysis and preparation
- Development of efficient workflows and oversee the use and maintenance of tools such as translation memories, style guides, and glossaries
- Preparation of files to be translated and placement of projects
- Negotiation of budgets and schedules with freelance linguists
- Supervision of the full life cycle of projects according to client parameters
- Support project managers & senior project managers in managing large scale translation projects
- Account management with support from senior team members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative tasks and reporting for management
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3-year translation industry experience including use of translation tools
- Experience using translation memory software
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude and a true team player
- Tech savvy, able to juggle multiple tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop budgets and schedules
- Energetic self-starter with initiative and creative approach to problem solving
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and Internet applications
- Commitment to professional customer service
- Fluency in English and preferably a second language
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Availability to work Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm US EST
