About the role
- Act as the primary SEO executor and sole beginning of the SEO team supporting multiple client brands
- Conduct ongoing SEO audits and implement technical SEO fixes across multiple client websites with agile iterations
- Maintain and optimize schema markup and structured data (including schema graphs)
- Support and manage SEO integrations with platforms such as Yext and Google My Business
- Collaborate with development and content teams to implement SEO improvements in platforms like Contentful
- Perform keyword research, semantic strategy development, and “quick win” optimization for multiple client brands
- Provide SEO recommendations for organic search improvements across the retail landscape
- Incorporate AI-based recommendations into deliverables and share trends/implications
- Monitor and resolve SEO audit issues, track performance, and provide insights, reports, and recommendations
- Stay current with the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm updates
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical SEO and content optimization
- Proven experience with schema, structured data, and SEO platforms (e.g., Yext, Google Search Console)
- Familiarity with Contentful or other headless CMS platforms
- Strong experience with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs)
- Comfortable working independently with light oversight
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex SEO concepts into actionable insights
- Experience with retailer search algorithms across retailers like Amazon and Walmart (preferred)
