Manage Coterie’s Procurement Program, including vendor review, contract negotiations, and subsequent onboarding
Build and maintain a proactive monitoring program for insurance legislation and regulatory developments, including establishing reliable sources, tracking and analyzing changes, and delivering clear reporting to business and compliance stakeholders
Conduct contract review and redlining for vendor, customer, and partner agreements
Implement, maintain and improve the contract management system to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accessibility
Manage Coterie’s Licensing & External Producer Activation team
Partner with business stakeholders to negotiate standard terms and resolve contractual issues efficiently
Draft, review, and maintain templates, playbooks, and guidance documents to streamline contract processes
Collaborate with compliance, risk, and business teams to identify and mitigate contractual risks
Provide legal support for audits and diligence requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses
Assist in developing and delivering training sessions for internal stakeholders on contract and legal processes
Support special projects and strategic initiatives within the Compliance team, particularly those involving insurance and regulatory considerations
Requirements
Active licensure in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
5 years’ Compliance experience within the insurance industry
Strong understanding of insurance-related laws, regulations and compliance requirements
Experience managing procurement programs, vendor review, contract negotiations, and onboarding
Experience conducting contract review and redlining for vendor, customer, and partner agreements
Experience implementing, maintaining, and improving contract management systems
