About the role

  • Monitor and track all active shipments to ensure on-time delivery and accurate status updates (typically 1pm to 10pm WFH after training).
  • Booking/Posting next day freight and any recoveries needed.
  • Ensuring to keep up with Customer distro communications.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for carriers, drivers, and customers during after-hours operations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays in transit, escalating as needed.
  • Update internal systems with accurate, real-time shipment details and status changes for our customers.
  • Communicate professionally with customers to provide timely updates and solutions.
  • Collaborate with the day operations team to ensure a seamless transition and accurate handoff of information.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication, updates, and issue resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage is a plus, but we will train you regardless.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in a demanding environment.
  • Requires perfect attendance due to great dependence on this role.
  • Ability to learn industry-specific software.
  • Able to work after-hours and adapt to changing priorities.
