About the role

  • Develop the study plan and conduct interviews and analysis with past grantees as outlined in the client’s Evaluation Work Plan
  • Assist in developing the Draft Qualitative Codebook and contribute to coding framework design
  • Support analysis of grantee data to identify preliminary results and themes for the Draft Findings Memo
  • Contribute to the Final Findings Memo and Draft/Final Reports ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with Federal client objectives
  • Prepare and format the Final Codebook and Dataset, ensuring documentation meets Federal standards
  • Collaborate with evaluation SMEs and project leads to synthesize data into actionable insights
  • Use Adobe InDesign and other reporting tools to produce high-quality, visually engaging deliverables

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, specifically in Federal or public sector contexts
  • Demonstrated experience working with government datasets, including cleaning, coding, and synthesizing large volumes of data
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, including thematic coding and statistical techniques
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other reporting/publishing tools
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, virtual team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability
  • Preferred: Experience working with federal nutrition program datasets
  • Preferred: Prior involvement in evaluations or reporting for farm to school or food systems initiatives
  • Preferred: Experience contributing to federal or peer-reviewed publications
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, public policy, public health, education, or a related field
