About the role

  • Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring that all documents and exhibits are readily accessible and up to date.
  • Coordinate and manage communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as email management, scheduling, and tracking court deadlines.
  • Prepare and manage discovery, including document production, interrogatories, and depositions.
  • Assist in the preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials, including organizing exhibits and witness materials.
  • Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the legal team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably with a focus on U.S. civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, court rules, and legal terminology.
  • Proficient in legal research methods and experienced in drafting legal documents.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and reliability.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
  • Candidates must have prior legal experience working with U.S. law firms.
