Draft, review, and negotiate sponsorship, media sales, marketing, and broadcasting contracts including endorsement, appearance, trading card, memorabilia, licensing, and event sponsorship agreements.
Work on behalf of athletes, coaches, broadcasters, other celebrities, and company-owned events.
Collaborate directly with Talent Marketing, Properties, Media Sales, and Broadcasting division staff under supervision of the Associate General Counsel.
Assist the Associate General Counsel and General Counsel with various internal and external legal matters as needed.
Manage and maintain contract submission, tracking, and filing system.
Report to the Associate General Counsel; full-time position based in New York, NY or Laguna Hills, CA.
Requirements
J.D. degree from an accredited law school required.
Member of New York or California State Bar (or other major state bar association) preferred.
1 - 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney at a law firm or in an in-house legal department.
Experience at a top-tier law firm preferred.
Experience in sports or entertainment law preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including outside attorneys, internal business partners, and counterparties.
Demonstrated dedication with the ability to independently lead projects from origin through execution.
Ability to work full-time hours, which includes some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
