Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accountant will serve as the day‑to‑day finance lead for a diverse portfolio of operating and development entities.
Own the full monthly close, maintain entity‑level and consolidated ledgers in Yardi Voyager, and deliver accurate financials on tight deadlines.
Partner with development, asset‑management, and property‑operations teams to track project costs, prepare lender draw packages, reconcile intercompany transactions, and produce data‑driven insights.
Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support the Controller in preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
Provide assistance with accounts payable and receivable processes.
Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices for accounting operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within the real estate industry.
Proficiency with Yardi or comparable real‑estate accounting software is required.
Familiarity working with multiple entities and intercompany transactions.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
