About the role
- Champion our company values and promote a strong safety culture
- Develop and execute category strategies for capital and energy procurement, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder priorities
- Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including e-sourcing, RFI, RFP, RFQ and negotiation strategies
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support capital procurement, develop and execute spending strategies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate risks
- Track and report on sourcing pipeline and savings initiatives
- Manage, maintain and update supplier contracts and agreements
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular business and performance reviews
- Communicate effectively, lead meetings, make presentations, and maintain professionalism by using core competencies and company values
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and relevant legal, ethical and risk requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experiences in lieu of the degree
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related areas
- Experience acquiring capital assets and developing OEM and Integration suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
- Proven experience in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract law, supplier relationship management and supply chain technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and professional presentation skills
- Ability to travel to Copeland locations/suppliers domestically and globally occasionally
